all of our designs are made from locally sourced scottish hardwoods

ash is highly grained, pale and creamy
elm has warm tones spiked with greens and reds
​oak has lovely burrs and knots
​sycamore because it's crisp and light in colour
 we literally put our hearts into everything we make
from  wood .......hence our name 
my husband commissioned  heartwood to make me a box as a surprise for my 50th birthday. It is so beautifully made and such a gorgeous and special gift. claudia and moira even came up with the idea to engrave it with my signature which was such a creative and fun idea and makes it even more personal.
